Exhibition dates: 7 – 28 Spetember, 2020

Official opening: Saturday 12th September, 2020

Cool Art Picture Framing Gallery is delighted to present this exhibition. Connecting Conversations is an exhibition of new works by Leigh Camilleri and Robyn Shaw.

After an extended hiatus from our exhibition schedule, we are delighted to formally re-open the gallery as an exhibition space with the works of these exceptional, contemporary artists. Both use distinct and dynamic painting styles to translate their observations of place, experience and memory into something tangible. Bold marks and muted palettes draw the observer into the story, a moment captured through the senses and merged with memory.

Leigh is a Brisbane-based artist, with an extensive history of exhibitions across South-East Queensland and abroad. She has completed studies including; BA (Visual Arts QCA), BA Fine Arts, MFA Fine Arts (QUT). Leigh’s works are held in both public and private collections including; Moreton Bay Regional Council Collection, Redland City Collection, The Mirvac Collection, Hong Kong Print International.

Robyn Shaw is a Cooloola coast-based artist, who has participated in a number of group exhibitions across South- East Queensland. Her work has been collected both nationally and abroad. Robyn has spent much of her early and adult life on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, and completed her BA (Fine Arts and Visual Culture) and a BA (Hons) through Curtin University.
